God Uses Ordinary People
Do you feel unqualified or not good enough? Do you feel your faults keep you from being used by God?
Exodus 4:10
And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent… but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
When God called Moses, Moses responded with excuses.
Not rebellion—just insecurity.
“I am not eloquent.”
“I am slow of speech.”
Moses focused on what he lacked.
God focuses on what He could do.
This pattern repeats throughout Scripture.
God calls Abraham—who doubted.
God calls Gideon—who feared.
God calls Jeremiah—who felt too young.
God’s calling is not based on human qualification.
It is based on divine purpose.
In verse 11, God responds:
“Who hath made man’s mouth?”
In other words, the limitation Moses feared was not outside God’s control.
The same is true for us.
We often hesitate to step into what God is leading us toward because we feel unprepared.
Not experienced enough.
Not confident enough.
Not capable enough.
But God has never required perfection.
He requires obedience.
God does not call the equipped.
He equips the called.
Your weakness does not disqualify you—it becomes the platform where God’s strength is displayed.
2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us, “My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
If you feel unqualified, you are in the exact position where God often works most powerfully.
