We often expect God to work in visible ways.

Clear direction.
Obvious answers.
Recognizable movement.

But Isaiah describes something different:

“A God that hidest thyself.”

This does not mean God is absent.

It means His work is not always obvious.

Throughout Scripture, God often worked in ways that were not immediately recognized.

Joseph was in prison before he was in power.
David was in obscurity before he was on the throne.
Even Jesus spent years in quiet preparation before public ministry.

God does not always reveal what He is doing while He is doing it.

This is where faith is tested.

It is easy to trust when results are visible.

It is harder to trust when everything feels hidden.

But hidden work is not inactive work.

It is often foundational work.

God builds deeply before He builds visibly.

He shapes character before He reveals calling.
He develops trust before He displays outcome.

If everything were visible, faith would not be necessary.

Hidden seasons require trust.

And trust grows strongest when visibility is at its lowest.
