What to Do When You Feel Spiritually Weak

Weakness is not the end of your strength—it is the beginning of God’s.

Isaiah 40:29
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Spiritual weakness can feel frustrating.

You want to be strong.
You want consistency.
You want endurance.

But instead, you feel tired.

Isaiah reminds us that weakness is not something God ignores—it is something He meets.

“He giveth power to the faint…”

God does not require strength before He acts.

He supplies it.

This changes how we view weakness.

Weakness is not disqualification.

It is dependency.

The problem is not that we are weak.

The problem is when we try to function as though we are not.

Many believers exhaust themselves trying to maintain strength on their own.

But Scripture never calls us to self-sufficiency.

It calls us to reliance.

God’s strength is not given to those who have it all together.

It is given to those who recognize they do not.

When you feel spiritually weak, the answer is not pushing harder.

It is leaning deeper to God, relying more upon His strength and not your own.
