This moment comes from a servant sent to find a wife for Isaac.

He was on a mission. He needed direction. The outcome mattered.

But notice how he describes God’s guidance:

“I being in the way…”

God led him while he was moving.

Not before.
Not after.

During.

This reveals something important about delay.

We often think preparation means waiting until everything is clear.

But Scripture shows that God often leads step by step.

The servant did not have the full picture.

He followed what he knew.

And God directed the rest.

Delays are not always pauses.

Sometimes they are things getting into position.

God aligns people, timing, and circumstances in ways we cannot see all at once.

If everything happened immediately, much of that preparation would be missing.

Delays build awareness.
They develop trust.
They refine direction.

The key is staying “in the way.”

Continuing in obedience.

Continuing in faith.

Continuing in trust.

God often reveals the next step while you are already walking.
