The Morning That Changed Everything
When the women approached the tomb early that morning, they expected to find a sealed grave. They had watched Jesus die. They had seen His body buried. The stone had been rolled into place. From their perspective, the story had ended.
Matthew 28:5-6
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.
When they arrived, the stone was already moved.
An angel delivered the message that changed human history forever:
“He is not here: for he is risen.”
The resurrection was not simply a miracle—it was a declaration.
It declared that the cross had accomplished its purpose.
Sin had been paid for.
Death had been defeated.
The grave had lost its final authority.
Easter morning proved Death no longer has the last word.
The resurrection of Christ is the foundation of Christian hope. Without it, faith collapses.
Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:17, “If Christ be not raised, your faith is vain.”
But Christ was raised.
Because He lives, forgiveness is real.
Because He lives, eternal life is certain.
Because He lives, the power of sin is broken.
The resurrection is not only a historical event—it is a present reality.
The same power that raised Christ from the dead transforms the lives of those who trust Him.
Easter reminds us that God specializes in bringing life out of what appears hopeless.
What looked like defeat on at the cross became victory on resurrection morning.
And the risen Christ still changes lives today.
